Sister Moses: The Story of Harriet Tubman
I was a guest artist in the Desert Dance Theatre production
January 30, 2014

“Sister Moses” is a beautiful story of a courageous woman’s determination to free her people from slavery through the Underground Railroad. This powerful dance drama features Desert Dance Theatre with Renee Davis as Harriet Tubman, with dramatic narration by Renee Morgan Brooks. African drumming and accompaniment by a string quartet and traditional spirituals sung by  a choral ensemble.  www.desertdancetheatre.org

A Rhythm To It
premiered on Center Dance Ensemble's
American Voices Concert  on April 7, 2013

Choreographed for Center Dance Ensemble company member Kelsey Kroll, this solo speaks to the cyclical nature of women's lives and how these rhythms connect us in a shared  and sacred history. Set to the poem Kneading Bread by Teresa Anderson, read and recorded by Lyn to music by pianist Eric Harry.
