Janaea Rose Lyn (McAlee) is a modern dancer, choreographer, educator, and writer. Whether in a workshop setting or on the stage, her artistic focus is on creating and facilitating work that brings personal stories to life through collaborative movement exploration.

Founder and faculty member of two community college programs, Janaea has published articles, and presented at educational conferences on her inclusive approach to dance and performing arts pedagogy.  Prior to this she was the artistic Director of Convergence Dancers & Musicians and Dance Matrix.

 

Her book, Choreographing Your Dance Career, is a resource for dancers which emerged from her personal, professional and teaching experience.
