Janaea Rose Lyn (McAlee) is a mentor for dance artists, helping them to choreograph their careers and dance their best lives.

Her recent book, Choreographing Your Dance Career, is a resource which emerged from her personal, professional and teaching experience. Janaea assists individual artists with creating and maintain a healthy work/life balance and is committed to strengthening dance communities through conversations and actions which connect artists and encourage the free exchange of abilities and opportunities.​

As a modern dancer, choreographer, and educator her artistic focus is on creating and facilitating work that brings personal stories to life through collaborative movement exploration.

Founder and faculty member of two associate degree dance programs, Janaea has published articles, and presented at educational conferences on her inclusive approach to dance and performing arts pedagogy.  Prior to this she was the artistic Director of Convergence Dancers & Musicians and Dance Matrix presenting work nationally and internationally for two decades.
